CLIPPER

The starting point was the situation that cables that are used daily (charging cable, HDMI, AUX etc.) should be fixed to the desk. I researched existing models on the internet and tried to reproduce them for rotational moulding.
Through the exchange online, I came up with the idea of adapting my connector for my cables in particular. By pressing the cable ends into the modelling clay, the positive forms of the “clippers” were created.
It was especially important to ensure that the final shape was moulded minimally too tight for the corresponding cable, so that it would hold through the resistance.
The final model of my connector was then cast in alginate, the negative mould filled with polyurethane and swivelled in a rotational moulding process.
