MakingSolar
Customized solar modules on demand
“MakingSolar” is a service for customizing organic solar cells and adjusting them in size and shape. Using an app, the customer first selects the surface and then configures the desired pattern and colour. Thanks to augmented reality, the result can be viewed “on site” and ordered right away.
The customization is possible due to organic solar cell technology: Differing from the production of silicon solar cells, semiconducting organic inks are printed onto a film. Organic solar cells are also active in indirect sunlight. A modular mounting system allows the application on most surfaces in outdoor and indoor areas.
